Established on Guam in 1966 by Shihan Joe Tedtaotao (yon dan) Kyokushin Karate was created by Founder Sosai Masutatsu Oyama. Since then, hundreds of students have come through these training doors. And of that number, only a handful of those students have gone on to become black belts, and eventually, instructors. Kyokushin Karate is deemed Japan's strongest karate because of its full contact approach to fighting.
For further interest visit: http://www.kyokushinkaikan.org/ Our black belts have proven their strength, ability and competence by completing the difficult and arduous Yudansha 'black belt' test. Often times these tests can last up to two days. Official Branch Chief Listing: www.kyokushin.co.jp/eng/index.html.
Currently Hagatna Dojo is the only official International Karate Organization (IKO) sanctioned dojo.
